Jasmine Bakery, located in Cleveland, OH had outgrown their distribution center. The bakery supports 40 restaurants in 4 states. These include Aladdin’s Eatery, Taza, A Lebanese Grill, and roughly 100 regional Middle Eastern markets in the region. If you follow the culinary scene in NE Ohio, you know Aladdin’s and Taza are top of the line Middle Eastern restaurants. They topped the list of the 2019 Cleveland Magazine’s Readers Choice Silver Spoon awards.

The expansion seemed the perfect time to upgrade to a wireless sensor platform for round-the-clock monitoring of their operation. Maintaining the freshness of locally sourced ingredients is critical; Jasmine needed to monitor the conditions of the food in cold storage and have confidence that the temperature was accurate and auditable. The expanded 50,000-square-foot production and distribution center stores the ingredients and spices critical to their signature tabbouleh, falafel, marinades, and salad dressings. Team members roll all their grape leaves in this facility to protect their proprietary recipe and manage their branded flavor profiles.


Real-time wireless monitoring delivers information about performance and energy costs to those who need it when they need it. Automating the monitoring and alerting in the new distribution center has improved the operational visibility throughout the facility and to off-site management. The ability to quickly distill information from the connected devices into something meaningful and actionable is where OpSense excels. The 10,000 - 15,000 daily fresh baked pitas are properly chilled after rolling off the production line prior to shipping.
